Rocky River Preschool Peer Model Screening Date for the 2016-2017 school year is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Goldwood Primary School. Peer models selected to participate within the special education preschool program should be at least 3 years old by the start of the 2016-2017 school year and a resident of Rocky River. Peer models must be developing typically in all early childhood domains. The domains include: physical motor development, social development, language and communication, vision and hearing, pre-academic, and cognitive skills development. Children learn best from each other and peer models help facilitate appropriate actions and behaviors for students with disabilities. Peer relationships are important for the social and cognitive development of all children.
