This past Saturday, students from Goldwood Primary School participated in the Destination Imagination tournament that was held at Beachwood High School. As part of the non-competitive Rising Stars Challenge, students had to work together as a team to solve a problem that would save the day. For many months, the teams researched six simple machines and then created a new invention involving a complex machine. Students then wrote and presented a play that told the story of how the team created machine worked and how it saved the day!
First grader Ananya and kindergarten student Eddie were on a team managed by Ben Judson.
Second grade students Briella, Camille, Enzo, and Eamon were managed by Kelly Gregart.
At the Rising Stars Awards Assembly all students received a medal for their efforts. In addition, the second grade team received a certificate for the use of Special Effects in their performance.
Great job everyone!
