Magazine Drive
September
This fundraising effort is coordinated by the school office and facilitated by the PTA. We help to sort and calculate sales and prizes. This event is run for two weeks in the early fall and the funds generated are put into each student’s personal account to be used for their own 8th grade trip to Washington DC. 

Challenge Days
October 19 & 20
Challenge Days is a program that takes place for two full school days in October. The entire 7th grade is invited to participate in an off campus program aimed at helping them learn to break down barriers that separate people and to learn respect for one another.  More information coming soon.
Social Dance
January 
February 

6th Grade Social Dance is an event offered to 6th grade students on three Friday evenings in Jan/Feb to teach etiquette and proper behavior in social dancing situations.  Parents are needed to fill in as partners and also to provide
refreshments.
Maroon & White Night
March 23
This event is held March 23rd and is our largest event requiring 80-100 volunteers to plan and facilitate. It is a fun, bonding event for the students- open only to RRMS students - and a fundraiser for the PTA. The night is one big party that we hope the students look forward to and really enjoy. The school is set up with music, food, a variety of games and fun activities. Students purchase an admission ticket and then also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win prizes throughout the night. There is plenty of food available for purchase at a very reasonable cost. Get involved in the party!
Vendor Fair
This spring event is a fundraiser held in the cafeteria of the MS. We sell table space to various cottage industry vendors who are then able to present their products for sale. Table space is first offered to PTA members, then Rocky River residents and if there is space remaining, outside vendors. Each vendor is asked to provide a raffle item representative of their table. Raffle tickets are sold in advance and also on the day of the sale. We have a bake sale on that day – donations of bake goods are needed.
8th Grade Graduation Dance
May
This is an all 8th grade only event. It is a dance held at the MS or Memorial Hall. It is a self-funded party via ticket sales. 

Staples School Supply Fundraiser
This new opportunity would be open for investigation. Early thoughts are that we would provide the opportunity in the late spring to order “Math Packs” and potentially other items through the Staples Fundraising program for the upcoming fall.
