Band Camp
When is band camp?
It usually begins the second week of August and runs between 2 and 3 weeks before school begins. (See calendar for times.)
Band Parties
What time are band parties?
Band parties begin directly after the football game and end by midnight.
Where are band parties held?
Band parties are hosted by parents. Typically two or more families work together to host a party and to chaperone the event. Even if you don’t host a band party at your home, you can volunteer to help another family with theirs.
Marching Band
How do you find out what time your child needs to be at school for a football game?
If you sign up for the RSS feed or email list, you will receive notification. You can also check the calendar on this website.
What if we have a conflict for a football game or a band festival?
Please let Mr. Taylor know as soon as possible!
What types of snacks are best for football 3rd quarter hospitality?
See here.
Uniforms
What if my child grows out of their uniform or shoes during the school year?
In most cases there are extra uniforms available. There are also some shoes in stock.
What happens if my child loses his/her uniform?
This should never happen as the band uniforms are turned in after every game. In the unlikely event that an item is lost, please let Mrs. Taylor know as soon as possible.
Why are the uniforms fitted so early?
We fit uniforms in the spring so that our parent volunteers have time to make any necessary repairs or alterations. All uniforms are then sent for dry cleaning. When the uniforms return, each band member’s jacket, pants, raincoat, and gig bag must be matched and hung up together. This takes an incredible amount of time.
