PROGRAM GOAL

The Rocky River City School District’s Limited English Proficient (LEP) plan follows state guidelines in providing service to Limited English Proficient students. English language learners have equal access to a quality education that enables them to progress academically while learning English.

The goal of the Rocky River EL Program is to provide high-quality instruction in the English language domains of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  Similarly, we strive to provide appropriate modifications and accommodations in the mainstream classrooms so that English Language Learners may develop the English language skills necessary to successfully achieve both academically in school and socially in the United States.
